Custom Cakes, Cupcakes, and Cake Pops for All Occasions!

Delightfully tasty edible art.

Why choose Lulu Bell Cakes?

I have seen many popular cake artists share some of their favorite recipes. To my surprise, the majority of them have started with a boxed cake mix. I have even worked in a bakery where they used cake mixes as well. Boxed cake mix is great if you are making it at home for yourself or for friends and family. However, I do not find it adequate enough for what I do. When you order from me, you are receiving a cake made from scratch from start to finish.
I seek out high quality ingredients for my cakes. It may add a little to the base cost, but I am proud to serve these creations!
I use unbleached flour, butter and buttermilk made without the rBST growth hormones, and organic jams and preserves for fillings.

I only use Premium Satin Ice fondant for all of my fondant needs. It is gluten free, dairy free, and nut free.

RBST GROWTH HORMONE

BST (bovine somatotropin) is a protein hormone naturally produced in the pituitary glads of cattle. The recombinant version, rBST, uses genetically engineered E. coli bacteria to boost milk output in a short amount of time. These hormones have been banned in many countries.

WHAT IS GLUTEN?

Gluten is a substance that is responsible for the elastic texture of dough. It can be found in wheat, barley, bulgur, rye, spelt, triticale, and seitan. Oats do not contain gluten but should generally be avoided as well.

UNBLEACHED FLOUR

Unbleached flour has aged naturally after being milled unlike bleached flour. It has a denser texture and provides more structure in baked goods. Bleached flour uses bleaching agents such as benzoyl peroxide and chlorine gas to speed up the aging process.

ORGANIC JAMS AND PRESERVES

Organic food contains more of the antioxidants that have been linked to better health than other foods. They also contain lower levels of toxic metals and pesticides.
